What is tarte™ vip?
tarte™ vip is our new and improved loyalty program, replacing tarte™ perks. It’s free to join, and rewards you for shopping on tarte.com. You’ll earn points on every qualifying purchase and can redeem them for exclusive discounts and rewards.
Do points expire?
Yes. If you don’t make a qualifying purchase or complete a points-earning activity within 12 months, your points will expire. To view your current redeemable points balance, visit your tarte™ vip rewards page when logged into your account.
How can I opt out of tarte™ vip?

Who can join tarte™ vip?
tarte™ vip is available to customers in the U.S. and select international countries. Anyone with a tarte.com account is eligible.
How do I earn points for reviews?
You’ll receive a review email about 21 days after your purchase. Submit your review through that email to earn points. Bonus points are awarded if you upload a photo. Reviews submitted directly on site (outside the email flow) will not earn points.
What do the different statuses in my points history mean?
Your points history shows five different status labels that help you track your progress. Here’s what each one means:
Earned – These points have been successfully added to your account after completing an activity, placing a qualifying order, or reaching a milestone.
Pending – Points are on the way but not available to use just yet. This usually happens with purchases that need to ship before the points are finalized or with activities that have a built-in delay.
Progress to Complete – You’ve started a points-earning action (like a quiz or review), but haven’t finished it yet. Once the action is completed, points will be awarded.
Reversed – Points were removed because the qualifying action was canceled. For example, if you referred a friend who later canceled their order, the points earned from that referral would be reversed.
Refunded – If you returned a product you earned points on, those points will be deducted from your account once the return is processed.
How do I know what tier I’m in?
You’ll see your tier status at the top of your tarte™ vip rewards page when logged in.
How do I sign up for tarte™ vip?
Create a tarte.com account here: Create Your Account. You’ll be automatically enrolled in the vip program. Already had a tarte™ perks account? Good news — your points and tier status were automatically transferred.
Why haven’t I earned points for an activity yet?
For instant-earn activities (like quizzes), points should appear right away. For purchase-based rewards, points are added once your order ships. Make sure you’re logged in and complete the action through your tarte™ vip page to earn points.
When do I get my birthday gift?
Every vip gets a birthday reward based on their current tier. You don’t need to do anything — the points will be added automatically to your account during your birthday month.

How do I earn points?
You’ll earn 10 points for every $1 USD spent on qualifying items at tarte.com. Points are added to your account once your order ships.
For international customers, your order total is first converted to U.S. dollars based on daily exchange rates. You’ll then earn 10 points for every $1 USD, just like U.S. customers. The converted amount may vary slightly depending on current currency rates at the time your order is processed. You can also earn points by completing qualifying activities listed on your tarte™ vip
How do I get my free tier-up gift?
You’ll receive 3,000 bonus points automatically when you level up to a new tier. You’ll also get a 'Welcome to Tier' email. Redeem the points during checkout for a $10 USD coupon or another reward of your choice.

What happened to my tarte™ perks account?
We’ve upgraded from tarte™ perks to tarte™ vip to give you more ways to earn, more personalized rewards, and a refreshed experience. Your points and tier status moved with you — no action needed.
How do I log in to my new tarte™ vip account?
Use your perks account email and reset your password. Once updated, log in to access your vip dashboard and rewards.
How do I redeem points for rewards?
You can redeem your points for coupon rewards during checkout. Your discount will automatically apply to eligible items in your cart. You must have at least one item in your cart valued higher than the reward you’re redeeming. You cannot combine tarte™ vip rewards with other offers or other discount codes. Tarte™ may, in its sole discretion, turn on and off loyalty coupons in checkout during any promotions.
Do I still earn points if I use Shop Pay, Apple Pay, or another payment app?
Yes. As long as you check out using the email linked to your vip account, your points will be earned no matter the payment method.

Can I combine vip rewards with other discounts or store credit?
No. vip points and reward codes can’t be combined with other promotion codes, discount codes or e-gift cards. vip rewards are only valid at tarte.com and not accepted by our retail partners.
Can international customers use USD reward coupons?
Yes. If you’re outside the U.S., your USD coupon will convert to your local currency and apply at checkout. See our Terms & Conditions for more.
Do tier benefits expire?
Yes. Your tier status is valid for the year you qualify and the following year. If you don’t maintain the points needed, you’ll move down a tier the next year.
How do I move up to the next tier?
Your tarte™ vip tier is determined by how many redeemable points you earn in any calendar year. Redeemable points accumulated in the previous calendar year do not contribute to your tier advancement in the current calendar year. Will I keep my points if I return an item?
If you return a product you earned points on, those points will be removed from your balance once the return is processed.
What happens if the item I want is out of stock — including sale items?
If an item is out of stock you can sign up for restock notifications by entering your email address on the product page. Please note: sale items may not be restocked, and we do not offer price adjustments if a promotion ends before the item becomes available again.
Does adding an item to my cart reserve it? What if the product is out of stock?
Adding an item to your cart does not reserve it — products are only yours once you complete checkout. If the item you want is out of stock and not limited edition, you can sign up for restock alerts by entering your email on the product page.
What if I think I bought a fake tarte™ product?
Only tarte.com and authorized retailers sell genuine tarte. If you suspect a counterfeit, email brandprotection@tarte.com.

No, we do not test on animals. tarte™ is a certified cruelty-free brand and we’re also PETA approved.

How much does shipping cost?
Standard shipping is free on all U.S. orders — including Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico. No minimums, no promotion code needed. Just choose standard shipping at checkout and it’s on us. Expedited shipping options are available for an additional fee depending on your location and prices are listed at check out. Please note: FedEx Overnight; 2 Day shipping refers to the time after the package has left the warehouse, which may take 1-2 business days.

We offer several international shipping options. Available methods vary by country and will be shown at checkout based on your location: Standard (Duties and Taxes Paid) Duties, taxes, and brokerage fees are included in the total price at checkout, so there’s nothing due at delivery. If your country qualifies for free shipping and you meet the minimum spend, this will be your default shipping option. What should I do if my order is missing an item, includes the wrong product, or arrives damaged?
Quality assurance is very important to us. If something’s not right with your order, we’re here to help. Please email squad@tarte.com with your order number and a short description of the issue. For damaged items, include a photo of the damage so we can assist you as quickly as possible.
What if my order says delivered but I didn’t get it?
Sometimes packages are marked as delivered up to 1–2 days before they actually arrive. We recommend waiting a full 48 hours, and checking with neighbors or your local USPS office. If you still can’t locate your package, reach out to our customer service team at squad@tarte.com and we’ll do our best to help. Please note that tarte™ is not responsible for lost or stolen packages.
Why isn’t my order tracking updating?
Tracking may take up to 48 hours to refresh. Delays between scans are normal, especially during high-volume shipping periods or when your package is in transit between carrier facilities.

After placing your order, you’ll get a confirmation email. Once your order ships, you’ll receive another email with a tracking link.

Orders begin processing immediately and can’t be canceled or modified once they’re placed. This includes updating your shipping address or adding or removing items from your order.

Where do I drop off my return?
Drop your package off at any USPS location. We recommend doing so within 14 days of receiving your return label to ensure timely processing and avoid delays. Please use the prepaid label provided through our returns portal.

When will I get my refund?
Once your return is scanned at warehouse, your refund—minus the $5 return fee—will be processed within 1–2 business days. It may take 7–10 business days for the refund to appear on your original payment method, depending on your bank or payment provider.
Can I use my own return shipping method?
No. To ensure we can track and process your return correctly, you must use the prepaid return label provided through our returns portal. Returns shipped with other carriers may not be processed or refunded.
Can I return items I bought from another store?
No. We only accept returns for items purchased directly from tarte.com. If you bought a tarte™ product from a retail partner, please contact that retailer directly for their return policy.
What if I need a new return label?
Return labels are valid for 28 days from the date they’re issued. If your label has expired or you’re having trouble accessing it, email our customer service team at squad@tarte.com with your order number and the email you used to place the order — we’ll be happy to send you a new one.
How do I return an item?
If you're in the U.S. or Puerto Rico, you can return items purchased on tarte.com within 30 days of delivery. A $5 return handling fee will be deducted from your refund. Only one return or exchange is allowed per order. If you're returning multiple items, please pack them together in one box using the same return label. Exchanges are free for replacement of the same product. Final sale items are not eligible for return or exchange. What is tarte’s 1% charity program?
To support local nonprofits across the country, tarte™ will within 45 days make a donation to PayPal Giving Fund (PPGF) an IRS-registered 501(c)(3) charity, to benefit your chosen charity, subject to PPGF’s terms. tarte™ will cover all applicable processing fees so that 100% of your donation reaches the chosen nonprofit. PPGF typically grants funds to recommended charities within 15-45 days. In the rare event PPGF can’t fund the chosen charity, it will reassign the funds to a similar charity. Since the donation is made by Tarte, the charity will not receive your information and you will not be entitled to a tax deduction.
Are some tarte™ items excluded from discount codes?
